Breitung Township officials are ironing out the details for a celebration to mark 100 years since a devastating wildfire destroyed Quinnesec May 18, 1906 commonly known as The Quinnesec Fire. The fire wiped out the entire business district and several homes that year. The date for the Centennial Celebration will be May 20, 2006 from 10:00am - 3:00pm. Special exhibits and events will be held for the entire family. More details will be posted here as they become available. |
